The children of this age level (ages 5-7) are five to seven years old with reading skills at varying levels. Make sure to encourage them to read and gently correct mispronunciations. This age level will ask questions about the scriptures and how to apply them to their daily lives.
The Growing with Jesus Teacher’s Guide is for classroom or rotational setting. All lessons follow the same pattern for teaching students.

01 Preparing the Soil:
- Play one of the theme songs as students begin to arrive
- Welcome students as they come into the area
- Once students have arrived, begin with the opening prayer
02 Planting the Seed:
- Engage students with the icebreaker activity
- Teach karaoke song for that lesson
- Introduce topic for the day
- Lead students through their Activity Workbook (page 1)
03 Watering the Seeds:
- Share the video for the day
- Discuss follow up slides to reinforce comprehension
- Lead students through their Activity Workbook (page 2)
04 Growing with Jesus:
- Present scripture lesson with the memory verse
- Lead students through their Activity Workbook (page 3-4)
- Provide additional scriptures
05 Harvesting:
- Conclude with activities/games and closing prayer
